Students Shape the Future of Stanford Transportation
Over 50 students shared transportation feedback in a focus group, shaping future improvements and informing the Climate Action Plan.
The Call for AY26–27 Living Lab project proposals is now open for Stanford faculty, staff, and campus partners. By submitting a project, you can advance your department’s priorities while collaborating with student fellows and interns to drive innovation, measurable impact, and systems change across Stanford.
Most project ideas will be considered for placement within the Sustainable Stanford Fellowship or Internship Program, with selected projects matched to students each spring. Ideas from operational partners, faculty, research teams, and students are welcome year-round. While not every idea will become a formal fellowship or internship, all submissions are valued—some may move forward as pilots or ad hoc projects. Year-long fellowship projects pair a student fellow with operational and academic mentors to lead applied, campus-engaged sustainability work. These projects are well-suited for efforts that require substantive change management, stakeholder engagement, planning, analysis, and multi-quarter execution.
