Our Impact

As Stanford University supports its academic mission and mitigates its climate impact, Sustainable Stanford is committed to sharing the journey, revealing lessons learned from both triumphs and roadblocks, in order to accelerate global sustainability solutions.

While Stanford is committed to shrinking its own footprint, its greatest sustainability impact is through research and education that extend far beyond campus. The launch of the Stanford Doerr School of Sustainability—the first new school in 75 years—advances knowledge and solutions to support a thriving, enduring future for humanity and the planet.
