Danica Sun ’28 explored smarter resource use for one of Stanford’s major computing clusters.
Boyd & Jill Smith Family Stadium is not only home to Stanford’s softball team, but also a host to NCAA regional games, making it a high-usage and high-visibility facility. In fiscal year 2022, Athletics upgraded the existing metal halide lighting fixtures to Musco high-performance LED fixtures. The new lights not only provide more accurate color representation for televised events but also save $5,000 a year in electricity costs.
