Largest Living Lab Student Cohort to Date Presents Accomplishments at Annual Symposium
From stakeholders’ willingness for trade-offs to a green game plan, the student interns and fellows presented on their operational accomplishments from the year.
Students are a driving force behind improving campus sustainability and promoting change. A great example of students enacting change is the Stanford Carbon Offsets to Reduce Emissions (SCORE) initiative, in which students worked to fund the purchase of offsets for all varsity sports team air travel. The project’s partners included clubs Students for a Sustainable Stanford (SSS) and Stanford Students Environmental Consulting (SSEC), with additional support from the Athletics Department, the Office of Sustainability, and the School of Earth, Energy & Environmental Science (now within the Stanford Doerr School of Sustainability).
