Water Planning & Stewardship Hosts Service Day at the Arizona Cactus Garden

Stanford's Water Planning & Stewardship team hosted a hands-on volunteer event at the Arizona Cactus Garden, where community members helped weed, prune, and maintain the garden.
Volunteering at the Arizona Cactus Garden

The Water Planning & Stewardship team provided an opportunity for Stanford community members to get their hands dirty with a day of service at the unique Arizona Cactus Garden. This event was one of many planned programs for April's Earth Month: "Celebrating Sustainability" at Stanford.  As part of this event, the Water Planning & Stewardship team partnered with Grounds and took time to weed, prune, and rake with the help of additional volunteers. After a year with plentiful rainfall, many of the succulents and cacti had incredible blooms, captured in the photos below. Stay tuned for more opportunities to participate in hands-on stewardship of Stanford's diverse landscapes, gardens, and environment!
