The Sustainable Stanford Ambassador Program is a dynamic leadership opportunity designed to empower and inspire students to drive a culture of sustainability across campus. As an ambassador, you will serve as a mentor, role model, and advocate, equipping your peers with the knowledge and tools to integrate sustainability into academics, campus operations, and everyday life.

Responsibilities:
Sustainable Stanford Ambassadors are leaders, educators, and changemakers, driving a culture of sustainability across campus. In this role, you will:
- Advise and Mentor: Provide guidance to fellow students through office hours, tabling events, and peer consultations, helping them discover and engage with sustainability opportunities on campus.
- Lead by Example: Inspire action by actively practicing sustainability—whether through waste sorting, attending and promoting sustainability events, or modeling eco-friendly behaviors in daily life.
- Advocate for Sustainability: Raise awareness and mobilize your peers by leading outreach initiatives such as residence hall presentations, social media campaigns, and campus-wide events that amplify sustainability efforts.
- Promote Key Opportunities: Connect students to impactful experiences—from sustainability-related academic programs, research opportunities, and career events to initiatives like energy conservation, waste reduction, and sustainable living practices.
As an ambassador, you’ll play a critical role in shaping Stanford’s sustainability culture, making a lasting impact on campus and beyond.
Key Details:
- Commitment: 3 – 5 hours per week during the 2025-2026 academic year (September to June)
- Compensation: $20/hour
- Eligibility: Open to full-time Stanford undergraduate and graduate students with strong communication skills, written skills, and a passion for sustainability.
