Reports
The following reports document research conducted by Stanford staff and students on Scope 3 emissions measurement methodologies, focusing on calculating annual emissions from 2019-2022. The reports labeled as White Papers provide detailed insight into Stanford’s initial greenhouse gas emissions calculation methodology for each Scope 3 category. Additional reports summarize supporting research and related student projects. Since completing this research, Stanford has committed to annually reporting Scope 3 emissions in eight of the 15 categories defined by the Greenhouse Gas Protocol.
