During a week of climate action, sustainability partners welcomed new students to campus with activities designed to introduce undergraduates, graduates, and transfers to Stanford’s thriving culture of sustainability. To kick off the week, more than 80 students participated in tours of key sustainability landmarks. One of the largest groups to date took a tour of the Stanford Recycling Center and learned how to achieve a zero-waste campus, while other students took a tour of the Central Energy Facility (CEF). The high turnout continued throughout the week, with over 150 students who visited the Sustainability Open House at Meyer Green and the Office of Sustainability table at New Graduate Student Orientation. During the Open House, students made planters from cans collected around campus with seeds from the Seed Library. To get involved in sustainability on campus, email firstname.lastname@example.org.
