Stanford Redwood City

As the university prepares to open its first significant expansion outside the original campus in 2019, it has taken a number of considerations to ensure that the values, spirit, and mission of Stanford are prominently reflected. Sustainability is a cornerstone of all university projects, and Redwood City is no exception. The campus will incorporate a number of sustainability features as part of the high-performance building design, such as LED lighting, occupancy sensors, water-efficient fixtures, and three-stream waste corrals. A “mini Central Energy Facility” that is a one tenth scale of the campus CEF incorporates all of the same concepts of heat recovery and thermal storage to support sustainability goals for the campus. As move-in day approaches, keep a lookout for more about ways you can Live Cardinal Green in Redwood City. Learn more about the Redwood City campus.
