Stanford University Fleet

The campus got a little greener last month, thanks to a shift in fuel used to power university vehicles. Instead of using traditional ultra-low-sulfur diesel made from fossil fuels, the fleet now uses renewable diesel that will help mitigate emissions. This change has the potential to reduce the university’s carbon footprint by more than 150 tons of greenhouse gas emissions each year, and is part of an overall effort to switch to electric vehicles and reduce impacts of transportation. Learn More.
