Water Resource Team

Do you ever think about the plethora of people who work every day so that you can enjoy fresh, delicious tap water to drink, or so that the sewers continue flowing, and our creeks aren’t impacted with pollutants? Join Sustainable Stanford in recognizing and giving thanks to the people on campus who ensure safe and reliable water resources, during Water Professionals Appreciation Week taking place October 6-14.

The second annual week of recognition provides the opportunity to showcase the value of water and wastewater services and the important role that water professionals play in providing these services. Within Stanford's Department of Land Buildings and Real Estate, there are more than 25 people who work in service of our water resources. Take a LBRE-guided virtual tour of some of the stormwater treatment facilities on campus through a new digital tour platform, developed by Stanford Geological Sciences faculty George Hilley. Show your appreciation for our water professionals by sending your stories or thanks for posting on Sustainable Stanford social media to becardinalgreen@stanford.edu
