Holiday Airport Shuttles Tackle Climate Change

Thursday, December 5, 2019

Shuttles to San Francisco and San Jose airports will be available to students, faculty, and staff for Winter Break and can avert up to two tons of carbon dioxide emissions and other air pollutants. The $5 shuttles were available over Thanksgiving Break, thanks to Students for a Sustainable Stanford (SSS), in collaboration with Associated Students of Stanford University (ASSU) and the Haas Center for Public Service. A total of nine shuttles departed from Stanford with over 180 riders, and each rider averted approximately five pounds of CO2 emissions. This resulted in 905 pounds of avoided CO2 emissions – the equivalent to averting 100% of the emissions from roughly 62 Uber/Lyft trips.

Reserve your ticket today to fight climate change and save on transportation costs.
