Fall Lab Share supports reuse, saves over $158,000

Wednesday, January 22, 2020

The Fall Lab Share, which took place in November 2019, was one of the most successful lab shares to date. Nearly 260 individuals from 153 different labs participated, resulting in an estimated savings of over $158,000 in research dollars through the reuse of donated materials. The biannual event allows labs to drop-off, pick-up, or swap lab equipment for free. Donated equipment ranged from unbroken glass beakers to functioning centrifuges.

The event is always a team effort and would not be possible without our key partners: Property Management, EH&S, PSSI, and the Stanford Biosciences Student Association. Thanks to all who helped make the event successful! The next lab share will be in Spring 2020 – stay tuned for more details!
