Recycling provides significant benefits for our health and our planet, reducing air and water pollution, saving energy, and reducing greenhouse gas emissions that lead to climate change, with a host of impacts on human health.
But even with the best intentions, effective recycling can be confusing. If you've ever stood in front of the waste bin and wondered, "Which bin does this go in?" this class is for you! Support Stanford's goal of becoming a zero-waste campus by 2030 by learning and practicing how to sort your waste. This class will describe Stanford's waste management system and provide an opportunity to discuss how to improve our waste reduction, reuse, recycling, and composting habits with a recycling expert and a behavioral counselor.
This class will be held on January 22, 2020 at 12:00pm at the Central Energy Facility. Register for this BeWell class after January 6 here.
