Wednesday, September 13, 2017

The Arrillaga Outdoor Education and Recreation Center took advantage of Stanford’s Energy Retrofit Program with a recommissioning of their heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) system, expected to be completed by the end of this fiscal year. The project anticipates significant energy savings as a result of numerous updates, including better scheduling of equipment, restoring proper functioning of the heat recovery system, reducing pool pumping energy at night, and fixing the economizer controls.  The project will save an estimated $67,056 in costs per year, while improving temperature control and comfort.
