34 cafes receive zero waste recommendations and trainings

Stanford’s waste hauler, PSSI/Stanford Recycling, surveyed 30 campus cafes on their material use, waste infrastructure, and disposal practices in 2016-2017. Café staff trainings were offered throughout the year on best waste practices, and tailored report cards were provided to each café outlining areas for improvement. Training and outreach efforts work to support the expansion of 35 café exterior waste stations in 2015.
