Earth Week 2020: Sustainability and Resiliency

This year marked the 50th anniversary of Earth Day, and the Stanford sustainability community recognized the occasion by acknowledging our progress, and envisioning our future. Stanford has an extensive history engaging with students, staff, and faculty to advance environmental sustainability progress locally and globally. From cutting-edge teaching and research, to innovative campus systems, Stanford leads by example in developing and implementing solutions for planetary health. While we’ve all had to adjust to the global implications of COVID-19, it’s important to recognize how acting locally but thinking globally can have a positive impact on the world at large. The campus community partook in “50 Days of Action” to cultivate healthy habits leading up to Earth Week.
